CURRICULUM
Each of the 12 lessons contains an action step, quotes and Bible verses, a prayer, topics to discuss with the reader’s husband, discussion questions, and suggested reading.
Equipping for the Journey
A wife's role is difficult to understand because it's not a one-size-fits-all kind of job. You'll be equipped to go the distance in this powerful role by turning to God and sharing within a safe community of women.
Inviting Romance
You can invite your husband into greater romance--not with cards and flowers, but with those things which speak most to him: trust, respect, appreciation, confidence, and vulnerability. It's the small things, often, that speak to your husband; for example, when he bathes the children, do your words appreciate his heart to help or critique his methods? This chapter will help you look at how you treat your husband and determine which actions/words invite romance, which ones sabotage romance, and how to change sabotaging habits.
Mystique of a Woman
Inner confidence increases your peace and improves your relationship with your husband. You can build up your inner confidence through an assurance of God's love, advancing in your passions, improving your appearance, and developing godly attitudes. You'll discover factors that wrongly impact how you see yourself-after clearing them away, you'll be able to reverse wrong thinking patterns, courageously uncover or pursue passions, and improve your appearance.
Money
If you and your husband create a wise financial plan, it will ease tension and stress and increase unity.
Self-Care
Physical, emotional, and spiritual self-care are the foundation of a healthy life. A commitment to self-care actually reduces stress in your busy life and improves your sense of well-being. You will be encouraged to determine which area of your self-care is being neglected and motivated to make it a priority.
Creating a Culture of Beauty
You have what it takes to make your home your husband's haven. God's given you a unique expression of beauty, and your home can reflect your individuality even on a hairpin budget. More than that, though, your attitude is your home's atmospheric gage, and if you want your husband to consider home his haven, you'll want to reject complaining, anger, and quarrelling. Finally, living in a blur of motion crowds your husband out-making time for him because he's your top human priority will draw him home.
Removing Communication Roadblocks
Without good communication, your marriage won't get very far! But how do you handle painful topics where the communication skills you know desert you? Sandy's convertible story illustrates many ways not to communicate: being indirect, being unkind, choosing the wrong timing and place to confront. It also illustrates how to repair a communication breakdown: how to stop talking when you have the urge to interrupt, how to listen attentively, and how to dialogue toward resolution.

You have the power to change the way you think about sex by replacing old thoughts with new ones. Understanding God's six purposes for sex as well as your husband's deep emotional need for sex may surprise you and help adjust your thinking. The final piece in the sexual puzzle is changing the way you think about yourself as a sexual woman in a highly sexualized world. Along with these, practical advice for the weary is offered to help you prepare for this very important part of your relationship.

When a woman senses the needs of her family and understands her responsibility as a wife and mother, giving her all regardless of the odds, God will work through her to perform miracles.

GETTING STARTED
This chapter of the program provides instructions and suggestions for using the curriculum in three formats: mentor-hosted meetings, church-hosted meetings, or a twelve-week class. Churches are encouraged to assign Program Coordinators; their job descriptions and outlines of tasks are included.
MENTOR GUIDE
It’s one thing to develop a healthy marriage; it’s another thing to mentor a woman into a healthier marriage. This chapter gives instructions on how to be an effective marriage mentor to a group of six women.
In addition to encouraging a mentor to share personal stories, it includes guidelines for an effective co-mentoring relationship to share leadership responsibilities, boundaries about respecting the privacy of marriages and husbands in group discussion, group time-management tips, how to deal with potential problem areas, and when to refer a group member for professional help.
HOSTESS GUIDE
This chapter is packed with encouragement and tips for mentors to foster a welcoming and hospitable environment for a group meeting in any setting, complete with time-saving ideas.
