My name is Simone DaMour and I am the Beautiful Womanhood Mentor Consultant and I would like to share resources with you that helped me lead Beautiful Womanhood small groups.  Register on this page and we'll send you a username and password to access them.  If you need a specific resource that you think would be helpful when leading discussion on a particular chapter, don't hesitate to ask!  Please share your resources with me as well!  If you've found an article, video, or book that aids your abillity to mentor a Beautiful Womanhood small group, let me know.  I'll be sure to pass it along to others!

I would like to share my testimony about becoming a Beautiful Womanhood mentor.

When I first felt the call to mentor women in their marriage, I doubted His call on my life and a feeling of incapacity overwhelmed my spirit. I felt a lot of opposition and I prayed for comfort.  

Since I am a visual person (I have a photographic memory and God often sends me visions of what I am to do), I asked God to give me signs that would reveal His plan for this moment in my life. God knew the intentions of my heart.  He knew how much I love Him and want to honor Him in everything I do.  I was praying with eyes closed, prepared to listen to Him and He gave me the following vision.  

I saw hundreds of clay flower vases that were spread out all over the ground. Some of the vases had nothing inside of them, some had only soil, some had a seed and soil, some had small flowers, just starting to blossom, and others had gorgeous, almost fully bloomed flowers.  Then, He showed me a watering can showering water on all of the vases.  Some vases needed a lot of water, some needed just a little, some did not receive any water at all.  I asked Him to explain this vision to me. Suddenly, very clearly I heard the Holy Spirit telling me, “Simone, the vases represent the women you were called to mentor. Some women need to receive me, some already know me, but some need to receive more of My Presence, and some are not willing to receive from me at all (vases without a seed).   You are the watering can, an instrument that I’m going to use to water the flowers.  The water that I will give to you is coming from the throne of my Father and will bring true life to the women.  I will guide you where you need to go and show you how to do it.  Just give yourself to me and the Holy Spirit will do the work through you.”

After this vision, I started mentoring different groups of women in Michigan. Currently, I have a small group from Brazil that I mentor via Skype. I also mentor Beautiful Womanhood mentors on Facebook.  Click the "Like" button to receive my updates specifically for mentors.  As I have just moved to California, I pray for God to bring the “California vases” to be watered.  

Through this journey with God I learned: 

• Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted (2 Timothy 3:12)
• You will face doubters and opposition (James 1:2)
• You need to step up in faith and be obedient to Him (Mathew 11:10)
• Your faith will put be to the test and you will either face failure or be strengthened in Him (James 1:3-4)
• We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37)

I pray that you will be encouraged by this brief testimony to step out in faith and fulfill the role that God called you to.
