Beautiful Womanhood Marriage Seminars

I'm so busy!  How do I promote a Seminar that other churches will want to attend?
We supply a Seminar Planning Guide that provides the promotional materials for you to give to other churches' ministry leaders.  These materials introduce the ministry of Beautiful Womanhood and include everything needed to build excitement for this dynamic Seminar.

I want to have a Beautiful Womanhood in my church, but I just can't afford it.  Do you have any suggestions?
Beautiful Womanhood Seminars are designed to bring women together!  We suggest inviting several churches to join with yours for this event.  Two popular ways to off-set costs are to sell tickets for the Beautiful Womanhood Seminar or take a free-will offering during the Seminar. 

Implementing Beautiful Womanhood Small Groups

The experienced married women in my church don't demonstrate an interest in church ministry and many of them work.  How can I get mentors involved?
Personally ask or write these potential Mentors to pray about becoming involved in this exciting ministry (a sample letter is included in the book).  We trust that the Spirit will confirm the Lord's call to the older woman.  Groups can meet in the evening for those who work.  The Mentor Guide chapter helps women to mentor a small group of women.

What kind of support do you offer our church when we start the Beautiful Womanhood program?
We can be contacted by phone or email with any questions or concerns you may have.  We also provide promtional materials for you to advertise the Beautiful Womanhood small groups in your church and community. 

We offer ongoing inspiration and encouragement for any Mentor involved in the program on the For Mentors section of our website.  Above all, we want to support the Mentors for they are the heartbeat of this ministry.

What is our "next step" after the Beautiful Womanhood small groups complete the curriculum?

Each mentor must prayerfully decide what will happen next with her group.  Some ideas include:

• Continuing as a mentor with a new group of women assigned by a Beautiful Womanhood Coordinator
• Keeping the same group and choosing a book to study on marriage or a related issue like parenting or money management.  See our Suggested Reading page for some bible study ideas.
• Finding a way to serve together as a group.  Some suggestions include helping a single mother, volunteering together at a local soup kitchen, or organizing a fundraise

Questions Frequently Asked by Beautiful Womanhood Mentors

How often do Beautiful Womanhood groups meet?
There are 12 lessons in the curriculum.  Depending on how your small group is set-up, you can meet twice a month for 6 months or once a month for a year.

How long do Beautiful Womanhood small group session last?
Aim for 2 hours.  Many young women will have made child care arrangements, and it is important that they are able to leave at a set time.  Be sure that the discussion is ended at that time, but leave time for women to linger if they need to ask a private question.

When are Beautiful Womanhood discussion groups held?
Day or evening.  Let your Beautiful Womanhood Coordinator know what works best for you!

How "old" does an "experienced" woman need to be?
40 something or older.

I've never been involved with church ministry before, what experience do I need?
A willingness to share your experience in order to train younger women.  In the Beautiful Womanhood Mentor Edition, you will find valuable information about how to become the Mentor that God has called you to be.  Also, visit the For Mentors section of this website for ongoing encouragement.

Will I be provided with training to host a discussion group?
In addition to the training in the Beautiful Womanhood Mentor Edition, Beautiful Womanhood Coordinators provide an orientation meeting for mentors.  Additionally, your Beautiful Womanhood Coordinator will host mentor meetings to allow you to gain encouragment, ideas, and support from other Beautiful Womanhood Mentors.

What materials do I need to host a Beautiful Womanhood small group?
You should purchase a copy of the Beautiful Womanhood Mentor Edition ($21.99), and each of the women in your group should purchase a copy of Beautiful Womanhood: A Biblical, Practical Guide for Wives ($14.99).   You can purchase these books in our Online Store.

What do we talk about?
There are discussion questions at the end of each chapter of the book.

Does it cost anything to become a part of a Beautiful Womanhood program?
The Beautiful Womanhood book costs $14.99.  Some churches may provide the book at no cost.
